Writer, Misunderstood (2008 New York City Contest Winner)

Phillesia McKenzie is a graduate of the High School of Graphic Communication Arts in Manhattan and is currently a student at LaGuardia College. While she takes classes, Phillesia is also participating in the Year Up Program where she is learning about technology systems through internships in the field. After college, Phillesia hopes to work in television and to use her ability to connect with others to help tell their stories as a talk show host or interviewer.
