Writer, Misunderstood (2008 New York City Contest Winner)

Amberstar Farrow lives and works in Brooklyn and is a graduate of the High School of Graphic Communication Arts in Manhattan. She looks forward to beginning her first semester in college. Amberstar is passionate about creating spaces that make others feel safe and welcome. That is why she hopes to one day run a business or nonprofit where young people feel welcome enough to come and spend time with her every day.
