Writer, Choices: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly (2001-2002 National East Contest Winner)

My name is Carolyn Perry and I recently graduated from Jones High School. I love to write - poems, short stories, editorials about what's going on around Orange County, and I am currently working on a novel of my own. Writing helps me gather my thoughts and put things in perspective.

I enjoyed my entire experience with Scenarios from writing the script, editing the script with Tamara, going to New York and working with a real film crew and director. On top of that, Tamara and I have become good friends and still keep in contact.

Scenarios has helped me realize that there are many opportunities available to me and all I have to do is reach out and take it. Although I have to take a different route toward my goal I will still accomplish all that I set out to accomplish. I have learned from life and the Scenarios project that only you are responsible for you. Working with Scenarios has effected my life so much in so many ways. Entering this contest at age 16 and completing the process at age 18, I think the Scenarios family had a chance to see me grow and mature. This experience has made me understand that you determine your destination and dreams can come true. I am now truly aware of what a "life" decision is.

Recent Updates: Carolyn is expecting a baby boy on Sept 17th. She plans to attend Seminole Community College in the fall of 2004. In the future, she plans to be a News Anchor.
