Scenarios USA is proud to announce that our new youth screenwriters will showcase their films at the 2007 Scenarios USA REAL DEAL Film Premiere on June 12th, 2007, at Clearview’s Chelsea West Cinemas.

We invite you to be there to see the four new films, meet the writers and greet the directors.

The night promises to be spectacular. The young writer/professional director teams of Tiara Bennett and Alison Maclean (Jesus’ Son; “The Tudors”), Caroline Boon and Eva Vives (Raising Victor Vargas), Keyana Ray and Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love and Basketball), and Whitney Peters and Jesse Peretz (The Ex) will introduce their films and, following the screening, will take questions from the audience.

We look forward to a night of celebrating these talented young people and their films!

Alumni Filmmaker Focus

Once they write and help produce their first professional film, many of our alumni go on to successful careers in the arts and in film. Below is an update on how two of our alumni are using their Scenarios experiences. We are very proud to be a stepping stone in their promising futures!

Verena Faden, writer, Just Like You Imagined? – A senior at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, Verena is premiering her thesis film, Category 4, in Miami on May 19th. Veteran actor Steven Bauer (Scarface) stars in the film, which was shot in Verena’s hometown!

Nicole Zepeda, writer, Nightmare on AIDS Street – A recent graduate of University of Texas at Austin Film School, Nicole produced, directed, shot and edited the Behind-the-Scenes of Disney’s new theatrical version of Aladdin entitled Aladdin Jr. - Dual Language Edition and wore the same hat when creating the Behind-the-Scenes for the 2007 Scenarios USA Texas film Me, Myself and I.
