Write a story or script on this year's theme, which is What's the Real Deal on Romance and Relationships? Your story can be fact or fiction, funny or sad - or somewhere in between.
The What's the Real Deal? contest is open to people between the ages of 12 and 22 who live in New York City, the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, or Miami-Dade County in Florida. You can write by yourself or in a group.
Because YOU have something to say! We want to help you share your ideas, opinions and experiences with your peers and communities.
If your story or script wins, a Hollywood director will come to your town and help you make your story into a short film. One story from each region will win.
Download the contest brochure. Write a story or script, 10 pages maximum. Fill out the Entry Form and Release Form on the contest brochure and send them with your story to:

Talk to your teacher or community group leader about developing a project or assignment around the What's the Real Deal? contest. Have your teacher or group leader contact Scenarios USA to obtain a free Contest Kit. Your teacher or group leader can then send your script or story to Scenarios USA along with your peers' submissions.
Your submission must be postmarked by April 1, 2006. We will announce the winning scripts by June 30th, 2006.
